Whit Whitaker is an accomplished vocalist and actor. He was named executive director of the historic Lyric Theatre and Cultural Arts Center in August 2019. The Detroit native is no stranger to the arts community in Central Kentucky. He discussed the importance of the arts in African American communities, and how to get involved with a local cultural arts center.
